In this role, you'll lead by drivingmanufacturing and repair processes, development, and improvement projects, andcollaborating with combustion design and repair engineering groups to innovatenew products.
Your work will also impact society by helping to reduce the costof fabrication and machining of gas turbine combustion components using ourinnovative manufacturing processes.
How You'll Make an Impact Utilizes processknowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and creativity,as necessary to help develop and improve manufacturing processes that result inthe production of quality castings that conform to customer specifications andmeet desired lead times.
Reads and understandsengineering procedures to ensure adherence and compliance to approved processes.
Participates in plantinitiatives to support the reduction of scrap and overall casting costs.
Initiatives include but are not limited to daily production meetings, NPIreview meetings, and special participation in cost improvement teams.
Performs metal reworkrequired to eliminate typical defects observed on casting surface (Benching,Sandblast, FPI Rework, etc.
).
Proficient in operatingSurface Polishing Vibratory equipment and will complete all requiredmanufacturing documentation in Mercury.
Collaborates to improveergonomics and safety conditions of assigned areas and will wear all requiredpersonal protective equipment.
What You Bring High school diploma orgeneral education degree (GED) Required.
Previous relatedmanufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
